Derek Jeter

Derek Jeter (born 1974) is an egregiously overpriced and (some say) overrated shortstop who plays for the New York Yankees. Universally praised for his clutch hitting, calm eyes, and fist pump technique.
Jeter frequently appears on Primer threads due to his status as captain (and public face) of the Yankees, as well as his publicized rivalry with fellow superstar infielder Alex Rodriguez. In particular, he starred on the Death of Derek Jeter thread.
